Vancouver was the largest city in N. America without rideshare
Here’s a rad city that people had a hard time navigating because, well, rideshare hadn’t made its way north of Washington. And it's one of the cities perhaps most in need of it with long waits for taxis, early end times for public transit, limited parking and of course lots and lots of rain (almost half the year at an average of 161 days/year). In 2019, Vancouver finally lifted its ban, allowing Lyft to make the entrance. We introduced Lyft with a campaign promising to bring spontaneity back into locals' lives, making it easier to enjoy the best Vancouver has to offer all while reminding locals that even the farest reaches of their fair town weren’t so far after all.
